Barry Shapiro Barry has been active in the management and strategic planning of middle market manufacturing companies his entire business career. In 1985 he and Tom Gaffney co-founded The Anderson Group. Barry has an operating background and has focused on distressed, under-performing and turnaround companies. Prior to founding The Anderson Group, Barry was President and Chief Operating Officer of The Anderson Companies, which manufactured tapered steel lighting poles and was the largest producer of highway guard rails and related safety equipment. Barry has also assumed primary responsibility for the operations of several of
Anderson's current and past portfolio companies.

Thomas Gaffney Tom has been in the merger and acquisition business since 1985 when he co-founded The Anderson Group with Barry Shapiro. Prior to
Anderson , Tom founded and served as Chairman of The Oxford Investment Group, Inc., a Bloomfield Hills, MI based private equity investment firm. Tom began his career at Alberto-Culver Company where he was instrumental in the turnaround of the Mastry-Columbia Company, a chemical products subsidiary. Prior to founding Oxford, Tom was Executive Vice President of Guardian Industries Corp., a major international glass manufacturer, where he orchestrated Guardian’s acquisition and strategic growth initiatives. In his twelve years with Guardian, the company’s revenues grew from $100 million to over $700 million. Since leaving Guardian, Tom has successfully invested in and been operationally involved with numerous underperforming and turnaround situations. In addition to his involvement with The Anderson Group and its portfolio companies, Tom has served as a director of Amerus Group, Inc. (AMH), a large, NYSE listed life insurance and annuity company, for over 24 years.

Grant Beard Grant joined The Anderson Group in 2009 after serving as President and CEO of TriMas Corporation. During Grant's tenor at TriMas, the company doubled in size to $1.2 billion in revenues, expanded internationally and went public on the NYSE in 2007. Prior to TriMas, Grant served as President and CEO of HealthMedia, Inc. and as President of the Preferred Technical Group of Dana and Echlin Corporations. As a group executive, Grant helped create and then run a $1.0 billion global fluid systems group that was the combination of a series of acquisitions made in North America, Europe and South America. Before this role, he was a member of the ownership team that purchased Preferred Technical Group (PTG) out of United Technologies. Before PTG, Grant was an executive with both The Anderson Group and Oxford Investment Group where his relationship with Barry Shapiro and Tom Gaffney was forged through multiple acquisitions and co-investments. In his career, Grant has been actively involved in over 75 acquisition / divestiture projects ranging from $1 million to $1 billion and has raised several billions of dollars in financings.
Grant is a graduate of the University of Detroit (MA International Economics) and earned both a BS and a MBA from Miami University.

Cory Gaffney Cory re-joined The Anderson Group in 2006. Previously, Mr. Gaffney worked in private equity at Wynnchurch Capital from 2005 to 2006 and at The Anderson Group from 2002 to 2003. In addition, Mr. Gaffney worked as an Equity Research Associate and as an Investment Banking Analyst with Thomas Weisel Partners and Raymond James Financial. Cory also h as previous work experience with Beacon Strategic Resourcing, a provider of Asian manufacturing outsourcing services to United States-based manufacturing and distribution companies.

Marc Schechter Marc joined The Anderson Group in 2007 after a successful career as President and CEO of Advance Watch Group, a $250 million import company selling watches and clocks to big box retailers. He was a founding member of the company, which was sold to a private equity firm and is now known as Geneva Watch Group. He has been involved in all facets of running an import and distribution business including extensive experience in establishing a Far East manufacturing company.

Justin Flood
Justin joined The Anderson Group as an Associate in 2007. Prior to joining Anderson, Justin worked in commercial lending at Comerica Bank from 2005 to 2007. His experience ranges from privately held middle market transactions to publicly traded corporations and direct investment in foreign entities. In addition, Justin worked in the collections department at National City Corporation from 2003 to 2005, where he was responsible for eliminating losses on distressed small business and consumer accounts.

Kim Rosen
Kim is responsible for coordination of activities between
Anderson’s portfolio companies and its partners. Kim overseas all accounting activities as well.
